Humble "New Beginnings"

Following this past year, I’m sure everyone could use a fresh start or a redo; I, for one, have been reflecting a lot lately and how to better provide better care at my office and help the community further. With that being said, I’ve decided that I will be revamping my hours to accommodate the growing demand for wellness in our community.

Nobody expected on New Year’s Day 2020 that we, as a collective people, would face something like the pandemic in just a few short months. It tore families apart, claiming loved ones across the globe, impacting us physically, mentally, socially, and financially. Some struggled very little, while others were all but destroyed in the wake of this catastrophe. However, we have endured… rising to the occasion, emerging from the smoldering ashes and ascending like the mythological phoenix.

When faced with adversity, people will do the most amazing things. We’ve all endured and deserve a well deserved break and justifiably so… which leads me to the next topic of discussion….

Chiropractic and my mission this year in 2021.

I aspire to be the best Chiropractic clinician I can be, and have since I first opened my clinic 3 years ago. I wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for my peers, my community, my family, and friends. I owe it to them and myself to make the best out of any situation, regardless of how “poo” it is.

I’m currently taking new patients at my office at this time and if you’d like to make an appointment, so please give me a call at 585 545 8838. If you have questions in regards to how chiropractic manipulative therapy or other services offered at HTHCW could possibly help you and your ailments, then please don’t hesitate to reach out and contact me.

Thank you all for your continued patronage and service to your local communities, and be safe.

Next, New, and Exciting Chapter

It humbles me greatly to be opening my office in the community that gave me so much, and to be given the opportunity to give back to them too. Nothing can describe this feeling of pride and sense of accomplishment following the long journey to get here... But now the real work begins; getting the community on the road to a healthier tomorrow.

Did you know?

  • Over 60% of the adults in Ontario county are obese?

  • Nearly 40% of the county’s adult population have diagnosed Hypertension (high blood pressure); that’s about 35,000 people.

    • Of that 35,000 people, 71% have their blood pressure under control, leaving 29% (10,000 Ontario county adults) with uncontrolled hypertension.

    • Cutting that 10,000 even further, 50% have uncontrolled Stage 1 HTN, while approx. 20% have uncontrolled Stage 2 HTN... THIS ISN’T OKAY! The remaining 30% didn’t have numbers up to date when these numbers were taken.

Where does that leave us?

Well for starters, the best way to stop disease is to prevent it from happening in the first place. That’s the exact reason why we vaccinate and take our Vitamin C supplements when we feel a cold coming on. Stopping obesity and hypertension is a fairly simple task, and it begins with getting up and moving around. In school, we were told that “Movement is life,” and I cannot say I’ve ever heard a more true statement in my life. It begins with small things, such as walking or riding a bike to the store around the corner from your house. Walking the dogs instead of just putting them out to do their “business”. Building a good and healthy habit is much more difficult than establishing a bad one, we all know this firsthand.

“Nothing in this world that’s worth having comes easy; there are no magical fixes. It’s all up to you.”

This is one of my favorite quotes... It happens to be from the television show Scrubs, and I can’t agree more with it. It teaches responsibility, bravery, and leadership. It empowers you to take a leap, step forward, and take control of your life.

The idea of helping others take control of their lives and optimizing their health was the principle I founded my practice on. Call today and schedule an appointment to see how we can help make that first step on the road to a healthier you.
